BEEF BRISKET SLIDERS

Serves 4

Beef brisket is an affordable cut of meat that is delicious when slow cooked with big flavours. Here we serve slices of tender beef brisket on a Nomad Breads Original Turkish Roll with crunchy coleslaw and barbeque sauce for a fun family dinner.

Beef Brisket Sliders

Ingredients

  • 8 Nomad Breads Original Turkish Rolls
  • 2kg piece of beef brisket
  • 1 cup apple cider or apple juice
  • ½ cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper
  • Barbeque sauce and coleslaw to serve

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 150 degrees Celsius.
  2. Season your brisket with salt and pepper and place in a baking dish. Pour over the apple cider or apple juice and cover tightly with alfoil. Roast in the oven for three hours.
  3. Combine the honey and soy sauce in a bowl. Heat a barbeque grill and cook the brisket for a further 30 minutes; frequently basting each side of the meat with the honey and sauce until it is nice and sticky.
  4. Allow the brisket to rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving on warmed Nomad Breads Original Turkish Rolls with crunchy coleslaw and barbeque sauce.

Notes

For a quick homemade coleslaw mix a bag of ready sliced coleslaw mix, available from the fruit and vegetable section of your supermarket, with a jar of store bought mayonnaise.
